I just got back from hearing a panel of Latin@ entrepreneurs at Hub Bay Area in San Francisco. So great to be joined by so many Latin@s!

As the Hub representative said,

I learned a new statistic from the Small Business Administration (sba.gov):

We commiserated as @LolaSoto shared her challenges as a Latina (and as a woman) in becoming an entrepreneur, and it was good to be reminded that I’m not alone!

I found a couple tidbits as particularly helpful reminders of the realities of entrepreneurship: challenge, change, and embracing fear:

In particular, I enjoyed hearing Sausalito Venture’s Carlos’ thoughts that build on network theory:

A strong network will bring marginal ideas to the center, highlight boundary spanners like those who overlap multiple groups, and …in this way, support innovation!
